The 'Voyager views' pictures are all derived from the original NASA image data; materials which were made available to us by the National Space Science Data Center  distribution services on a set of CD ROMs. Most of this material is provided in its raw form, in monochrome (grayscale), with grid dot-lines and the blemishes that occur during the recording process; traveling the tremendous distances between the outer solar system and the labs on our own planet
Any changes (and improvements) we have made to this material in our studio has been from an aesthetic rather than a scientific point of view!

Twenty years of space travel, by both human and robotic astronauts, have taught us more about our universe, and particularly about our local solar system, than millenia of studying from the earth's surface could ever have accomplished. 
Neither the thousands of marvellous photographs taken from the earth's surface over the past hundred years, -- nor all the other concentrated efforts by so many experts and amateurs alike-- have adequately prepared us for the wonders that were encountered by our Voyagers taking a closer look.
As a matter of fact, it is the awesome and astounding imagery, sent back to Earth from our space probes, that has inspired many of us to re-adjust our horizons and to pay more attention to the beauty as well as the the meaning of these newly discovered marvels of the universe.
I want to thank JPL, NASA, and all those connected with them, for making it possible to view, show and to distribute these pictures that mark the true revolution of the 20th. century. The Space Age implies new horizons, new insights, perspectives, understanding, and new hopes for the future.

We have proceeded as outlined below in order to retain both the original reference imagery and manipulate the data according to our own interpretations as well: 
* For every image used, we have retained one copy as found, in monochrome, retouched only enough to 'clean up' the picture: remove the grid, improve the contrast, sharpened some areas. We saved those under their original alpha-numerical JPL/NASA title as found on the data disc.
* Then most images have been colored, allowing for a more 'realistic' look with clearer detail. 
* After this we have also taken the liberty to let our imagination take off (into space, of course) and created various montages from these same pictures which may or may not be entirely realistic, but that do provide another perspective of the planets of our solar system.
** So please note: 
all the JPL/NASA images on our CD ROM have been retouched at least a little; the pictures found in the folder titled "original grayscale pix" remain the closest in appearance to the NASA originals.

We have proceeded as outlined below in order to retain both the original reference imagery and manipulate the data according to our own interpretations as well: 
- For every image used, we have retained one copy as found, in monochrome, retouched only enough to 'clean up' the picture: remove the grid, improve the contrast, sharpened some areas. We saved those under their original alpha-numerical JPL/NASA title as found on the data disc.
- Then most images have been colored, allowing for a more 'realistic' look with clearer detail. 
- After this we have also taken the liberty to let our imagination take off (into space, of course) and created various montages from these same pictures which may or may not be entirely realistic, but that do provide another perspective of the planets of our solar system.
** So please note: 
all the JPL/NASA images on our CD ROM have been retouched at least a little; the pictures found in the folder titled "original grayscale pix" remain the closest in appearance to the NASA originals.
